Workplus HCM is a cloud-based HR software developed by Tuscan Consulting. We at Workplus HCM understand that your privacy is very important. To better protect your privacy, we are committed to giving you transparency over our privacy practices and our control of your data in connection with Workplus HCM Services. The data collected through Workplus HCM is restricted to delivering the services for which the user or client has subscribed (as defined in our Terms of Service).
This Privacy Policy applies to all data from visitors and clients (collectively “Users,” “You”). Tuscan Consulting’s suite of software and applications includes, but is not limited to, online services, mobile services, integrations, and all other services that Tuscan Consulting provides (collectively, the “Services”).
Workplus HCM may amend this Privacy Policy from time to time. Use of information we collect now is subject to the Privacy Policy in effect at the time such information is used. If we make material changes in the way we use Personal Information, we will notify you by posting an announcement on our Service or sending you an email. Users are bound by any changes to the Privacy Policy when they use the Service after such changes have been posted.
What information does Workplus HCM collect?
Workplus HCM receives and stores personal and company information you enter on our Service. The types of Personal Information collected are as follows:
Personal Identification
First and Last name, Addresses, Telephone numbers, National ID, Birthdays, and any data required for HR purposes and are accessible by authorized users only through authentication.
Personal Online Credentials
Email addresses, Usernames, Passwords, Security questions, Account tokens to properly secure the client's account and the Service.
Geolocation Data
Current location address and location coordinates (longitude and latitude) when location-based features (e.g., geofencing) are enabled by the client.
Bank Information
Account numbers and Routing numbers to process payments, invoices, and provide payroll services.
Survey Information
When clients use Workplus HCM to run surveys, we store only the respondent’s email address and the survey responses. Survey data are treated as confidential and are visible only to the initiating client.
Cookies
Cookies are small data files (often containing a unique identifier) sent to your browser and stored on your device. Like many sites, we use cookies to collect information. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent; however, if you disable cookies some portions of the Service may not function properly.
Is my company information secure?
Workplus HCM has implemented industry-standard security measures to prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information. We employ appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. Access to your data through your Workplus HCM account is protected by a password for your privacy and security. We also use SSL/TLS encryption with HTTPS to secure transmission between your browser and our servers. You should protect your password and sign off when finished using your account.
What is my control over my data?
As clients and users of Workplus HCM you are classified as Data Subjects (“Users,” “You”) and own your data. For client-hosted employee records, the client is the Data Controller and Tuscan Consulting is the Data Processor. Data Subjects have the right to access, modify, correct, or delete personal information held within Workplus HCM.
Workplus HCM will retain the personal information you provide while your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. We retain data for up to seven (7) years after account closure unless a longer period is required by law. We may retain Customer or User information if necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, or enforce our agreements.
In response to lawful requests, Workplus HCM may disclose personal information to public authorities, including to meet national security or law-enforcement requirements. If you terminate your account, your company information will be removed from the site and deleted from our servers after the retention period. Relationship between Tuscan Consulting and Workplus HCM
Tuscan Consulting is the parent company that fully owns Workplus HCM as one of its core products.
Data processed on behalf of clients
Workplus HCM has no direct relationship with the individuals whose personal data are processed within the system or stored in the database. If you are an employee of a client that uses Workplus HCM and you seek to access, correct, or delete your data, please contact your employer (the Data Controller). The client can update or remove data without Workplus HCM involvement. If the client requests Workplus HCM to remove any data, we will respond within seven (7) days.
Retention and deletion
Workplus HCM will retain Personal Information for all employees of an active client. When a client deactivates its services, we retain the information for the period stated in the “Control over my data” section above to comply with legal requirements.
